The driver accused in a fatal crash at a Wimbledon school is scheduled to stand trial in September 2027. Claire Freemantle, 49, faces two charges of causing death by dangerous driving and seven counts of causing serious injury.

The charges stem from an incident on July 6, 2023, when a Land Rover driven by Freemantle crashed into an end-of-term tea party on the lawn of The Study Preparatory School in south-west London. The collision resulted in the deaths of eight-year-old girls Nuria Sajjad and Selena Lau. Several other parents and children were also injured.

Freemantle appeared at the Old Bailey and confirmed her identity. No pleas were entered during the initial court appearance. The trial date was set following this appearance.
