‘Will Trent’ Season 5 Premiere Set for Early 2027 on ABC, Seasons 1-4 Now on Netflix
ABC renewed the popular procedural alongside 'The Rookie,' with both series expected to return midseason.
The procedural drama “Will Trent,” starring Ramón Rodríguez, has been renewed for a fifth season by ABC and is slated for a midseason premiere in early 2027. This renewal comes as part of a broader licensing agreement between Disney and Netflix.
All four existing seasons of “Will Trent” are now available for streaming on Netflix, having premiered on the platform on Tuesday, November 3. Previously, seasons one through four were accessible on Hulu and Disney+.
ABC confirmed the renewal of both “Will Trent” and “The Rookie” in April 2026. Both shows, along with “High Potential,” are being held for midseason premieres in early 2027. While official release dates have not yet been announced, “Will Trent” is expected to anchor Tuesday nights on ABC, likely airing after “High Potential.” “The Rookie” and its new spinoff, “The Rookie: North,” will occupy Monday nights.
Fans looking to catch up on the series can stream the first four seasons on Netflix. For new subscribers, Hulu’s ad-supported plan costs $11.99 per month, with an ad-free option available for $18.99 per month. Disney+ Bundle subscriptions, which include Hulu, start at $12.99 per month for an ad-supported tier and go up to $32.99 per month for ad-free access to Disney+, Hulu, and Max.
