Will Reeve, Son of Christopher Reeve, Reveals Testicular Cancer Diagnosis
The 'Good Morning America' correspondent shared that he is cancer-free after battling the disease over the summer.
Will Reeve, son of the late actor Christopher Reeve, announced Tuesday that he has been diagnosed with and successfully treated for testicular cancer.
The 34-year-old "Good Morning America" correspondent revealed his diagnosis on air, stating, "The diagnosis was a shock and the treatments were a slog." He added, "Today, though, I am relieved to announce that we arrived at our destination and this cancer is in the rearview mirror. But what a journey."
Reeve explained that he discovered a lump in his left testicle four months after his January wedding. Urged by his wife, Amanda Dubin, he sought medical attention. An ultrasound confirmed the presence of a mass that required removal.
Will Reeve is the son of actor Christopher Reeve, known for his role as Superman, and his wife Dana Reeve. Dana Reeve passed away in 2006 from lung cancer at the age of 44. Christopher Reeve died in 2004 from complications of paralysis sustained in a horse riding accident.
