Tennessee Titans quarterback Will Levis has not lost confidence in his ability to be an NFL starting quarterback, despite facing a potential role as the third-string player on the depth chart. Levis, who has made 21 starts for the Titans, stated he believes there are not 32 quarterbacks in the league who are better than him.
"I know that for sure," Levis told reporters on Saturday. "I know I’ve put the tape out there already that I’m a dang good quarterback in this league."
Levis is entering a situation where he is likely to begin the year behind Cam Ward, who is entering his second year as QB1, and veteran Mitchell Trubisky, with whom Levis is competing for the backup position. He added that he is not concerned with the competition itself, but rather with being prepared when opportunities arise.
"I’m not worried about the competition per se or the amount of opportunities that they’re going to give me," Levis said. "I just got to make sure that I’m ready for when they are given to me and just preparing to be the best at that as possible."
Levis's tenure as a starter for the Titans has seen him record a 5-16 record, with 21 touchdowns, 16 interceptions, and 17 fumbles. While the team's overall roster composition during his starts has been cited as a factor, Levis's performance has drawn debate. He underwent season-ending shoulder surgery in July 2025 and spent the subsequent year on injured reserve. Set to become a free agent at the end of the 2026 NFL season, Levis is working to secure a role on the team as the season approaches.
