Mia Bieniemy, wife of Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy, has been shot at their home in Loudoun County, Virginia, according to reports.
Sources confirmed to ESPN that she was hospitalized with serious injuries following the incident. Local police stated that an individual was being treated for significant injuries but did not immediately release the victim's identity.
Eric Bieniemy was not present at the time of the shooting, as he was in Missouri with the Chiefs. The team is currently holding training camp on the campus of Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph.
