Tavia Hunt, wife of Kansas City Chiefs owner Clark Hunt, has dismissed reports circulating about perceived shortcomings at the wedding of pop star Taylor Swift and NFL player Travis Kelce. A report, which gained traction on social media and was cited by some outlets, suggested that the event suffered from a shortage of seating and champagne.
According to the initial report, the Madison Square Garden wedding ceremony had only 150 seats, leaving approximately 800 guests standing during what was described as a lengthy ceremony with 20-minute vows exchanged by Swift and Kelce. The report also claimed that champagne ran out early and that the buffet-style food service led to long lines.
However, Tavia Hunt directly addressed these claims in a comment on a social media post, labeling the narrative as "false." She stated, "They did not run out of champagne. There were not long lines. Every single person was seated for the ceremony." Hunt described the event as "a fabulous experience" and called the rumors "inappropriate hearsay – not truth."
In addition to her refutation, Hunt shared photos of herself and her husband at the wedding on her own Instagram account, captioning them, "All dressed up in New York for a night that already feels like a song. ❤️."
Another attendee speaking to Page Six described the event positively, detailing food offerings that included pasta tossed in Parmesan wheels, burgers, fries, and full-service bars. Other reported menu items included lobster and chicken. Music producer Smittybeatz, a friend of Kelce's, also shared a positive assessment, calling the ceremony "beautiful" and stating that "They turned the Garden into a garden of love and wonderment."
The wedding, attended by an estimated 1,000 guests, reportedly transformed Madison Square Garden into a garden setting for the ceremony.
