Erika Kirk, the widow of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, entered a Utah courthouse Monday morning dressed in black to confront the man accused of her husband's murder for the first time. She was accompanied by Charlie Kirk's parents, Robert and Kathryn Kirk.

The hearing for the alleged gunman, Tyler Robinson, is expected to last all week. Prosecutors are set to present their case against Robinson, who is accused of fatally shooting the Turning Point USA founder on September 10 while he was speaking at an event at Utah Valley University.

Prosecutors plan to introduce messages between Robinson and his trans lover, Lance Twiggs, which reportedly detail the alleged shooting. Robinson, 23, has not yet entered a plea. He faces the death penalty if convicted.

Robert and Kathryn Kirk arrive at the Fourth District Courthouse.
