Whitney Rose Files for Divorce From Husband Justin After 16 Years

Whitney Rose, a star of "The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City," has filed for divorce from her husband, Justin Rose, after more than 16 years of marriage. She submitted the divorce paperwork to the Third District Court in Salt Lake City on Tuesday.

In Utah, many divorce case documents are sealed, but court records indicate that Rose also submitted a proposed parenting plan.

Page Six exclusively reported in July that Whitney and Justin Rose were "living separate lives." Sources at the time alleged that the couple, who wed in November 2009, had been fully separated. Insiders claimed they were rarely seen together, even when present at the same locations, such as the gym.

Whitney, 40, and Justin, 58, have two children together: daughter Bobbie, 16, and son Brooks, 13. Justin also has three sons from a previous marriage. Sources had indicated that both Whitney and Justin had expressed frustrations about their marriage to close friends and family, with one source suggesting they were staying together primarily for their children.

An additional source told Page Six that Whitney had been spending minimal time at their shared residence before the filming of Season 7 of "RHOSLC," which began in late February. The source commented that the reality show can be detrimental to relationships, noting that Angie Katsanevas and Shawn Trujillo, another couple from the show, had also recently separated.

Whitney did not include Justin in an Instagram post detailing what brought her the "deepest sense of happiness and joy" over the summer. Instead, she listed "time with my family, Bobbie & Brooks, sunrises, sunsets, food, golf, friends, mountains, sunshine [and] healing."

Financial pressures in recent years were also cited as a contributing factor to the marital difficulties. Whitney has been navigating the launch and management of several businesses, including Wild Rose Beauty, Sōl People, Prism, and the "Wild Rose Podcast."

Justin, who currently serves as president of Awakend, was reportedly dismissed from his executive role at LifeVantage Corporation shortly after an intimate scene between him and Whitney aired in Season 2 of the show. During the "Love Is Art" segment, the couple was filmed covering each other in body paint. Whitney had previously stated that this career change significantly impacted their relationship and household dynamic, as Justin was unemployed for a year.

During Season 4, Whitney had discussed with fellow cast member Angie Katsanevas the uncertainty surrounding her marriage, noting that Justin was not wearing his wedding ring at the time. Whitney has historically dismissed rumors of divorce, which have circulated for several years. In January 2025, she stated on "Watch What Happens Live" that split rumors had been ongoing for five years and that Justin was "not going anywhere."
