White House Releases Guest List for State Dinner Honoring Chinese President Xi Jinping
The list includes a mix of administration officials, business leaders, and family members from both the U.S. and China.
The White House has released the guest list for the state dinner held Thursday, hosted by President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump, in honor of Chinese President Xi Jinping and his wife, Peng Liyuan. The attendees comprised a diverse group, including high-ranking administration officials, prominent figures from the business and technology sectors, and members of both leaders' families.
Representing the U.S. administration were Vice President JD Vance and his wife, Usha Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio and his spouse, Jeanette Rubio, and Chief of Staff Susie Wiles. U.S. Ambassador to China David Perdue and his spouse, Bonnie Perdue, were also present, as were Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and his spouse, John Freeman. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer, along with his spouse Marlo Greer, were listed among the attendees.
The Chinese delegation included Cai Qi, chief of staff to Xi; Wang Yi, a member of the CPC Political Bureau Central Committee; He Lifeng, China's vice premier of State Council; Zheng Shanjie, chairman of China's National Development and Reform Commission; and Wang Wentao, China's minister of commerce.
Several members of the Trump family were in attendance, including Ivanka Trump and her daughter Arabella Kushner, Eric Trump and his spouse Lara Trump, and Tiffany Trump and her spouse Michael Boulos. Melania Trump's father, Viktor Knavs, was also present.
