White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt has returned to the gym less than eight weeks after giving birth to her second child. Leavitt, 28, shared a mirror selfie on her Instagram Stories on Sunday showcasing her physique after her first postpartum workout.

Leavitt and her husband, Nicholas Riccio, 60, welcomed their daughter, Viviana, on May 1. Leavitt also shared a tribute to Riccio for Father's Day, calling him the "love of our lives and the rock of our family." Riccio, who is 32 years Leavitt's senior, has a son, Niko, from a previous relationship with Leavitt.

"It's truly amazing how much the female body can endure throughout pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum," Leavitt wrote alongside her gym photo. "And no, men cannot experience this."

In a separate post, Leavitt shared a photo of Riccio with their son Niko, writing, "The most selfless, fun and present dada that our babies could ever ask for. We love you."

Leavitt worked until the 39-week mark of her pregnancy, taking to the podium shortly before her maternity leave was to begin. Her daughter Viviana was born days after an attempted assassination of President Trump at the White House Correspondents' Dinner in April. Cole Tomas Allen, 31, a teacher from California, was arrested and faces charges including attempting to assassinate the President.

During Leavitt's absence, other administration members, including Vice President JD Vance, have covered press conferences. One of Leavitt's social media posts about her newborn daughter included a song by Taylor Swift, an artist whom President Trump has publicly expressed dislike for in the past. Trump has made several critical posts about Swift on Truth Social, including remarks about her public image and political endorsements.
