White House Mocks Musician Natalie Maines as 'Despicable Nobody' After Anti-Trump Remarks

The White House has issued a sharp personal attack against Natalie Maines, frontwoman of the country music group The Chicks, calling her a "despicable nobody" with a "peanut-sized brain" suffering from "Trump Derangement Syndrome." This response came after Maines criticized President Donald Trump during a concert marking the anniversary of the album "Taking the Long Way."

During the performance, Maines referenced her 2003 comments about then-President George W. Bush, stating that she would now "give George (W.) Bush a big wet kiss" in comparison to Trump. Her earlier remarks, made at a concert in 2003, expressed shame that the "President of the United States is from Texas" and that the country was going to war. Maines indicated she would not be silenced, declaring, "We thought that was the worst it could get."

The singer's recent comments have generated a mixed reaction on social media. Some users expressed frustration with political statements during concerts, with one Instagram user writing, "Kind of tired of this political rant… get on with your music which I love." Another commented, "Spent $1500 for a ticket to see a concert with wonderful music. Did not want to hear politics."

Conversely, others supported Maines' stance. "It was the correct thing to say back then and is definitely the correct thing to say now. Bravo Chicks," one user wrote. Another echoed the sentiment: "The chicks are on the right track."

This incident follows a profanity-laced social media post by Maines in May, where she accused Trump of "destroying democracy" and criticized his actions regarding "insurrectionists." The White House issued a similar statement in response to that post, reiterating the "despicable nobody" and "peanut-sized brain" insults.

A representative for Maines did not immediately respond to requests for comment. The Chicks, previously known as Dixie Chicks, began their "Taking the Long Way" anniversary tour earlier this week.
