The White House website has introduced a collection of five retro-style arcade video games intended to promote aspects of President Donald Trump's agenda. The collection, named Arcade, features low-resolution graphics reminiscent of early video games.
One game, "Build the Wall," is described as a variation of "Tetris" where players aim to "Protect the border from the coming horde." Another game, "Rio Run," which resembles the mobile game "Snake," shows an icon of Trump collecting potential border crossers.
"Supply Line," a game inspired by "Tapper," requires players to reject items that do not meet "Make America Healthy Again" standards as they move along an assembly line.
Two other games are set in Washington D.C. In "Flappy Bill," an eagle transports a bill across the National Mall. "Trump Savings Tycoon" tasks players with collecting money that flies through the air to "Fill your kids' Trump Accounts," referring to the administration's savings plan offering $1,000 to children born during Trump's term.
The White House announced the launch of Arcade on social media platforms with animations that parody the loading screens of popular gaming consoles like Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo. In one instance, the Sega logo was altered to read "MAGA," an acronym for Trump's "Make America Great Again" slogan.
