The White House has requested the resignation of U.S. Ambassador to Greece Kimberly Guilfoyle, White House press secretary Katie Zacharia announced Tuesday morning.
"We have asked Ambassador Guilfoyle to resign," Zacharia stated. "She has been a wonderful asset to the team, and we wish her well."
The request follows a report alleging that Guilfoyle offered a donor to former President Donald Trump access to top administration officials in exchange for money. Further details on the alleged transaction were not immediately available.
