White House Communications Director Steven Cheung responded forcefully to remarks made by Georgia Democrat Sen. Jon Ossoff, criticizing the senator's comments about President Donald Trump's relationship with aide Natalie Harp.

During a campaign speech on Sunday, Ossoff commented on Trump's engagement with his job, stating, "He doesn't want to do the job. He wants to build his ballroom and travel with Natalie on their apparently defenseless flying palace gifted by the emir of Qatar." Ossoff's remarks specifically referenced Harp, who joined Trump's staff in 2022 and has reportedly maintained a close proximity to the president. The New York Times reported in 2024 that Harp had sent messages to Trump expressing deep personal devotion.

Cheung, known for his strong social media presence, reacted to Ossoff's comments on August 17, 2026, via X (formerly Twitter). He wrote, "Jon Jackoff has to be the biggest cuck loser in politics. Instead of denigrating hard working people serving their country, Jon should look deep into his soul and ask himself why he’s a miserable person who hates this country. It’s because he’s a radical, extremist Dumocrat."

Following Cheung's post, other social media users commented on the exchange. Tommy Vietor suggested that Ossoff "touched a nerve" and that the president's "odd relationship with 'human printer' Natalie Harp" was something the media should explore. Adam Parkhomenko questioned the media coverage if a Democratic White House had a similar staff dynamic.

On Monday afternoon, a reporter asked President Trump about Ossoff's remarks. Video footage showed Trump referring to the senator as "Peewee Herman" before redirecting the conversation to the topic of the White House ballroom.
