The Los Angeles home of Scott Shriner, bassist for the band Weezer, and his estranged wife, author Jillian Lauren, has been listed for $2.95 million. The property gained public attention following an incident in April where Lauren was shot by LAPD officers outside the residence.

The gated mid-century compound, located at 1205 Eagle Vista Drive, is situated on a nearly half-acre lot in a hillside neighborhood. Built in 1954, the 3,035-square-foot home features five bedrooms, four bathrooms, vaulted beamed ceilings, and a heated pool. It also offers canyon and mountain views and is described by Lauren as a "personal retreat" minutes from local amenities.

The sale comes after a tumultuous period for the couple, who filed for divorce in early December after 20 years of marriage. The incident involving Lauren and the police occurred last April when officers responded to reports of a hit-and-run in the neighborhood. According to police, Lauren pointed a handgun at officers during the encounter, leading to her being shot in the shoulder and subsequently arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

Lauren has described the event as an act of self-defense, stating she was attempting to protect her family. She later accepted a two-year mental health diversion program, which could lead to the case being cleared from her record. The Los Angeles Police Commission determined earlier this year that officers involved in the shooting acted improperly, and the LAPD Chief is considering disciplinary action. Lauren's memoir, "Some Girls: My Life in a Harem," details her experiences. She told Rolling Stone that the fallout from the incident significantly disrupted her life and that the divorce headlines were particularly painful.

Despite the upheaval, Lauren expressed appreciation for the sense of peace and privacy the Eagle Rock property provided during her years there, highlighting its connection to the outdoors and its role as a special home.
