Wayne Rooney Admits Marriage Has 'Tough Moments' Ahead of New Docuseries

Wayne Rooney has offered a rare glimpse into his marriage with Coleen Rooney, acknowledging that their relationship, like many, experiences difficult periods. The couple, who have been together since they were teenagers, are preparing to share the intimate details of their lives in a new ten-part docuseries titled "The Real Rooneys."

In a candid admission, Rooney stated, "Marriage isn't always plain sailing. Coleen and I love each other, even though we have tough moments." He further commented on the reality of their relationship, contrasting it with curated online personas: "We could have made it all look perfect but you see that too much on social media."

The series will reportedly follow the Rooney family, including their four sons – Kai, Klay, Kit, and Cass – over the course of a year. It aims to provide an unvarnished look at their lives, moving beyond the polished image often presented to the public.

One episode is set to feature Coleen taking on a new venture, designing a clothing collection for Primark. She is shown later in the series launching her first fashion range.

Another segment will focus on their eldest son, Kai, who secures a scholarship with Manchester United. However, the series also captures a significant training ground injury that threatens to derail his burgeoning football career.

The docuseries is expected to offer viewers an inside look at the Rooneys' family dynamics, personal challenges, and professional endeavors, aiming to present a more authentic portrayal of their life together.
