Warriors Unaware of Kristaps Porziņģis' Whereabouts Amid Health Mystery

The Golden State Warriors' situation regarding forward Kristaps Porziņģis has become increasingly enigmatic, with the team reportedly unsure of his exact location and the nature of his ongoing health issue. This development follows Warriors head coach Steve Kerr's admission that Porziņģis was absent from a recent team practice.

Kerr stated that he had communicated with Porziņģis via text, describing the forward as "doing okay" but indicating a lack of in-depth conversation about his condition. "He’s got to take care of his health, and again, we’ll support that and keep moving forward with the team," Kerr added.

While Porziņģis' absence from a single practice is notable, the organization's stated lack of knowledge regarding his current whereabouts adds a new layer of mystery. The 31-year-old forward was diagnosed with postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS) in 2025. It is believed that his current absence is related to this condition, though the team has not officially confirmed this.

Despite being aware of Porziņģis' POTS diagnosis, the Warriors signed him to a two-year, $40 million contract extension this offseason. The team had evidently hoped for greater clarity regarding his health status by this point. The specifics of Porziņģis' condition and his return timeline remain unknown.
