Warriors Send Charles Barkley Personalized Jersey After Viral NBA Player Location Segment

The Golden State Warriors have sent a personalized jersey to NBA Hall of Famer Charles Barkley following a viral segment on TNT's "Inside the NBA." The gesture was a lighthearted response to Barkley's repeated inability to correctly identify the current teams of various NBA players during the show's "Who He Play For?" segment.

During the segment, Barkley attempted to name the teams for players such as Moe Wagner and Taurean Prince, going 0-for-5 in his identifications. His co-hosts, Ernie Johnson, Shaquille O’Neal, and Kenny Smith, allowed him multiple attempts, but Barkley continued to struggle, leading to a humorous on-air moment.

A week after the segment aired, the Warriors presented Barkley with a custom jersey. The jersey bore the name "I Don't Know" on the back, directly referencing his on-air performance. The "Inside the NBA" crew received personalized jerseys as well.

"Inside the NBA" has been a staple of sports television for decades, debuting in 1989. Ernie Johnson, who has been with the show since its inception, recently announced that the current season would be his last. Barkley, a consistent presence on the show for over twenty years, paid tribute to Johnson earlier in the week.

“Inside the NBA” made its debut on ESPN on Wednesday night.
