Restricted free agent Quinten Post is set to sign a three-year, $30 million contract offer sheet with the Memphis Grizzlies, according to NBA insider Shams Charania. The Golden State Warriors have until 11:59 p.m. ET on Tuesday to decide whether to match the offer.
Sources indicate that matching the considerable offer from Memphis appears unlikely for Golden State. Post, who was the 52nd overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, spent the last two seasons as a rotation player for the Warriors, contributing an average of 7.7 points, four rebounds, and 1.4 assists during the 2025-26 campaign. His departure would create a significant gap in the team's lineup.
The Warriors' financial flexibility is limited, as they have already agreed to terms with Kristaps Porzingis and Al Horford. Furthermore, Golden State is reportedly one of six finalists in the pursuit of LeBron James, which further constrains their ability to absorb Post's new contract.
If the Warriors do not match the offer, Post is expected to take on a starting role with the Grizzlies. Memphis is undergoing a significant roster overhaul, having recently traded star guard Ja Morant to the Portland Trail Blazers for forwards Jerami Grant and Kris Murray. Post's potential arrival, alongside No. 3 overall pick Cam Boozer, signals the Grizzlies' intention to rebuild with new talent.
