Police have issued an arrest warrant for Karen Solomon, 58, the wife of an off-duty Worcester, Massachusetts police officer who was found dead in their home earlier this week. Search crews, including local police and U.S. Marshals, have been actively searching for her since Friday.

Karen Solomon is considered armed and dangerous, according to Worcester Police Chief Paul Saucier. The arrest warrant charges her with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury. Saucier stated that the injuries sustained by her husband, Patrolman Kurt Solomon, 57, were inflicted by a "sharp object," but confirmed his service weapon was not missing.

Kurt Solomon, a 31-year veteran of the Worcester Police Department and father of two, was discovered deceased early Tuesday morning. His wife, Karen Solomon, is the founder of First HELP, a non-profit organization dedicated to suicide prevention for first responders and their families.

Surveillance footage captured Karen Solomon walking on a street following the incident, police reported. Search efforts on Friday involved helicopters, divers, sonar, and dogs in the Coes Reservoir area.
