Warner Calls Australia 'Terrible' After Series Loss
Former opener David Warner heavily criticized his former teammates following South Africa's decisive victory in the third Test.

Former Australian opener David Warner has labeled his former side "terrible," "utterly disgraceful," and "un-Australian" after they collapsed on the final day of the third Test, allowing South Africa to secure a series victory in Cape Town.
Chasing 288 runs for victory, Australia was dismissed for 111, losing wickets rapidly. Kagiso Rabada was instrumental early, taking the key wicket of Travis Head and becoming the fastest bowler to reach 350 Test wickets. Adding to Australia's struggles, Josh Inglis was run out after a miscommunication with Cameron Green.
Spinner Simon Harmer further dismantled Australia's batting order, taking wickets including Alex Carey and Cooper Connolly. By lunch, Australia was 60-7, prompting Warner's strong critique on Fox Sports.
"It is terrible. It is un-Australian. There is no fight whatsoever. It is disgraceful," Warner stated. "The batters have let the bowlers down all series. I think the batters have been utterly disgraceful."
Australia's approach shifted significantly after lunch, with Pat Cummins facing 40 balls before scoring a run, appearing to abandon any pursuit of victory. Cameron Green was eventually bowled by Harmer, and the innings concluded with Nathan Lyon top-scoring with an unbeaten 33.
South Africa's 176-run victory in the third Test capped a fluctuating series and reasserted their position at the top of the world rankings.
The series loss comes as Australia faces an intense period of Test cricket, with upcoming series against New Zealand and India, followed by a Test against England and the next Ashes campaign.
