Walt Disney World is phasing out Tabasco hot sauce packets in its restaurants, replacing them with Tapatío hot sauce. The shift, first observed at ABC Commissary in Disney's Hollywood Studios, is reportedly being implemented across the resort.

This change is a result of Disney's corporate partnership with Kraft Heinz, which has led to alterations in condiment offerings throughout the parks. Tabasco, known for its sharp, vinegary flavor derived from red peppers, salt, and distilled vinegar, is distinct from Tapatío, which combines red peppers with salt, spices, garlic, and other ingredients, resulting in a thicker consistency and different flavor profile.

While some patrons may miss Tabasco's signature taste, many guests have expressed enthusiasm for the switch on social media. Comments on platforms like Instagram indicate a positive reception, with some calling it an "improvement" and the "correct culinary adjustment."

It remains unclear if this hot sauce change will extend to Disney properties outside of Walt Disney World. Hand holding two Tapatío hot sauce packets.
