Walmart is recalling more than 16,800 EnHomee 9-Drawer Fabric Dressers sold on its website due to a potential tip-over hazard that could lead to serious injury or death for children. The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced the recall Thursday, stating the dressers failed to meet mandatory federal stability standards.

The dressers, sold by third-party seller Raybee-Direct on Walmart.com between September 2023 and March 2026, are available in white, brown, gray, and black. The recall specifically applies to units ordered before March 30, 2026. The furniture features nine fabric drawers and a metal frame.

According to the CPSC, the dressers pose tip-over and entrapment hazards if they are not anchored to a wall. These risks are particularly concerning for children. The STURDY Act, enacted to prevent fatal furniture tip-over accidents involving children, mandates the stability standards that these dressers failed to meet.

The CPSC has not received any reports of injuries or incidents related to these dressers. However, the agency strongly advises consumers to immediately stop using the recalled units unless they are securely anchored to a wall. For unanchored dressers, the CPSC recommends moving them to an area inaccessible to children.

Consumers seeking a full refund must contact Raybee-Direct for disposal instructions. To process the refund, customers are required to submit a photo showing the dresser has been disposed of. The recalled dressers were manufactured in China by Xuzhou Mingquanhe Household Co., Ltd. and imported by Changsha Yiman KEji Youxian Gongsi, operating as Raybee-Direct.

A Walmart spokesperson stated that the company expects suppliers and third-party sellers to comply with all applicable laws and policies. The spokesperson added that Walmart works quickly to remove recalled items from its platform, notify affected customers, and implement controls to prevent future listings of recalled products.
