Wallis Simpson, an American divorcée, was the only woman to satisfy King Edward VIII sexually, according to reports. Their relationship reportedly began at a dinner at The Dorchester hotel in London, where Simpson showed sympathetic interest in the then-Prince of Wales's work.
Following their initial meeting, the Prince of Wales began visiting Simpson's London flat. Their association developed amidst a period of intense public and personal scrutiny surrounding their unconventional relationship, which ultimately led to Edward VIII's abdication from the British throne in 1936.
