WA Police Officer Charged Over Alleged Assault of Infant
A 30-year-old officer has been stood down and charged with aggravated common assault.

A West Australian police officer has been charged with aggravated common assault over the alleged assault of his five-week-old baby. The 30-year-old officer was charged by Child Abuse Squad detectives on Sunday.
The infant was transported to Perth Children's Hospital as a precautionary measure. The officer has been stood down from duty by WA Police and is scheduled to appear in Midland Magistrates Court on Thursday.
