Voters in Connecticut, Minnesota, South Carolina, and Wisconsin cast ballots Tuesday in a series of primary elections that will shape the general election contests later this year. These primaries represent one of the last significant election days before November.
In South Carolina, a key Republican primary race for the Senate seat formerly held by the late Sen. Lindsey Graham was among the contests drawing attention. The outcome of this race will determine the GOP nominee for the general election.
Wisconsin voters were also deciding on several key races. The Democratic primary for governor featured a contest between democratic socialist Francesca Hong and David Crowley, who has received endorsement from current Gov. Tony Evers and is seen as more aligned with the Democratic establishment. Additionally, primary elections for Minnesota's District 1 and Senate races were underway, alongside Democratic gubernatorial primaries in both Minnesota and Wisconsin.
