Vogue Williams Responds to Criticism Over Post-Baby Work Schedule

Vogue Williams has responded with a lighthearted retort to a social media user who criticized her for returning to work commitments shortly after giving birth to her fourth child. The TV and radio presenter, 41, welcomed her son, Remy Valentine, last month with her husband Spencer Matthews.

Williams has resumed co-hosting her podcasts since the birth. During a recent episode of "My Therapist Ghosted Me" with Joanne McNally, Williams was holding her baby boy when a viewer commented on her podcast's page, asserting that a mother should not be out with her baby for at least a month, and that there was a "maternity law" to that effect.

Williams shared her reaction on the podcast, initially stating, "there's no maternity law!" before playfully adding, "And then I was like, hang on a second, I'm quite clearly in my bedroom with the baby as well."

She detailed how she diffused the situation by agreeing with the critic's sentiment. "I told her I agreed with her and that women should stay at home for at least one to two years with the baby after giving birth," Williams said. The user subsequently deleted their comment. McNally chimed in, observing, "We all know — nobody polices new mothers better than women."

Separately on the podcast, McNally discussed her experience on the reality show "Celebrity Traitors," admitting her "gullibility" in believing Richard E. Grant was a faithful contestant. Grant's on-screen confession of being a traitor had surprised his fellow participants, but McNally confessed to defending him strongly at the time. "I'm defending him to the hilt," McNally stated, explaining how she believed his claims of being a faithful despite evidence to the contrary. "They look me in the eye and I believe their lies... and I make a shell of myself."

Williams offered a different perspective on Grant's performance, suggesting his early admission made his role as a traitor quite apparent. However, McNally countered that experiencing the game firsthand, with direct eye contact and assurances from fellow contestants, was different from watching it on television. "You haven't been looked in the eye by Richard and told that he's a faithful," McNally told Williams. "You don't know that experience. You don't know how convincing he is."

The TV and radio presenter, 41, gave birth to her fourth child, a son named Remy Valentine, last month with her husband Spencer Matthews.
