Pregnant television personality Vogue Williams staged a convincing labor prank on her Heart Breakfast co-host Jamie Theakston, leading him to believe she was going into labor live on air. Williams, who is expecting her fourth child with husband Spencer Matthews, utilized a water balloon to simulate her waters breaking.
During the Monday morning broadcast, Williams began by complaining of a sore back before dropping the water balloon under her chair. She then exclaimed, prompting Theakston to inquire if her waters were breaking. Williams confirmed his suspicion, leading Theakston, a father of two, to react with calm concern. He offered reassurance and asked about the whereabouts of Spencer Matthews, urging the production team to arrange a taxi.
As the situation escalated and Williams struggled to contain her laughter, Theakston prepared to escort her to the hospital. The prank was revealed when a confetti cannon was set off, and Williams burst into laughter. Theakston expressed disbelief, stating he was moments away from accompanying her to the hospital.
Williams later apologized for the trick, commending Theakston's calm demeanor under pressure. The incident was shared on Heart's Instagram, where celebrity colleagues, including Capital's Sian Welby and singer Olly Murs, praised Theakston's composed reaction. Kelly Brook, another Heart presenter, humorously expressed concern about sitting in the same chair later.
Williams is currently filling in for Amanda Holden on the show. She and Spencer Matthews are expecting their fourth child together.
