Vogue Williams Details 'Embarrassment' of 30s Divorce and Finding New Love

Vogue Williams has spoken about the "embarrassment" she felt following her divorce from Westlife singer Brian McFadden at the age of 30. In a recent episode of her podcast, "My Therapist Ghosted Me," Williams shared that after her marriage ended, she believed her dreams of having a family and being married were over.

Williams was married to McFadden from 2012 to 2017. She recounted on the podcast, which she hosts with comedian Joanne McNally, that she resigned herself to a life of being single and intended to embrace it. "I did enjoy being single and it took about three months because I was so used to being in relationships," she said.

However, her perspective shifted in 2017 when she met Spencer Matthews, a former star of "Made in Chelsea," while filming the Channel 4 reality show "The Jump." The couple has since married in 2018 and welcomed their fourth child, a son named Remy Valentine, earlier this month. They are also parents to Theodore, eight, Gigi, six, and Otto, four.

Williams offered words of encouragement to a listener who wrote in seeking advice on navigating heartbreak after becoming a divorcée at 30. "Then I met somebody and now I'm sitting on this podcast breastfeeding my fourth child. So this could be you at 40," Williams told the listener.

In her autobiography, "Big Mouth," Williams previously described her marriage to McFadden as a "mistake," admitting to experiencing "anxiety and stress" on their wedding day. She wrote, "The morning of the wedding I felt very stressed and so anxious because deep down I knew I had made a mistake."

She added that while the relationship had some positive moments, McFadden was "not husband material." Williams ultimately ended the marriage, stating, "I couldn't keep trying, it felt pointless… I'm not here to throw anyone under the bus but there are things that went on in our relationship that will never be forgiven."

Brian McFadden has since married his third wife, Danielle Parkinson, a former PE teacher and lifestyle blogger. They share a daughter, Ruby, born in 2021, and married in July of the previous year.
