A concert at the Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts in Virginia was canceled Thursday after a worker died in a fatal accident involving a tour bus.

U.S. Park Police responded to the venue at approximately 5 p.m. The worker was found underneath a tour bus, which had fallen onto him when a supporting apparatus failed, according to authorities. The individual's identity has not yet been released.

The English rock band Squeeze was slated to perform at 7:30 p.m. that evening. Following the incident, the venue announced the cancellation on social media out of respect. Squeeze released a statement expressing their shock and sadness, noting their intention to work with promoters and the venue regarding potential rescheduling.

Fans who had gathered for the show learned of the accident, with some departing the premises while others remained, affected by the news. One attendee described the scene as "horrible" and "very tragic" upon seeing the number of emergency vehicles present. Another fan acknowledged that the show "can't go on" given the circumstances.
