Virginia Giuffre's family is actively seeking to establish parliamentary hearings in the United Kingdom similar to those conducted by the US Congress regarding Jeffrey Epstein's activities. Sky Roberts, Giuffre's brother, stated he is working behind the scenes to facilitate these hearings, which he believes could bring a new level of scrutiny to Prince Andrew.
Roberts indicated he plans to visit Britain soon to meet with Andy Burnham, the Makerfield MP, to press for a public inquiry into Epstein's connections within the UK. "There are a lot of things going on with Parliament. We are actively working behind the scenes to guide that," Roberts said. "One hundred percent you will be seeing lots of UK stuff coming forward."
Roberts also revealed that Thames Valley Police, investigating Prince Andrew, will travel to the US in the coming weeks as part of their ongoing inquiry. Prince Andrew was released under investigation in February following his arrest on suspicion of misconduct in public office. He is alleged to have passed sensitive information to Epstein. Prince Andrew denies the allegations.
Roberts' wife, Amanda, confirmed they are "pushing for a formal inquiry in the UK." The potential for public parliamentary hearings in Britain could significantly impact Prince Andrew and former UK ambassador to the US, Peter Mandelson, both of whom have been released under investigation and deny allegations of misconduct. Both could potentially be called as witnesses.
In the United States, the House Oversight Committee has questioned prominent figures connected to Epstein, including Microsoft founder Bill Gates and Epstein's former assistant Sarah Kellen. While these congressional hearings have been conducted behind closed doors, full transcripts have been released. The UK equivalent could be held in public and broadcast live on television, as is common for most British committee proceedings.
Thames Valley Police have reportedly been in contact with Roberts and are taking the investigation seriously, with officers set to visit the US. "I do know for certain they did reach out, they are taking this very seriously and wanted to be very clear they are investigating sexual misconduct," Roberts stated.
Virginia Giuffre died in April 2025 at the age of 41. She had accused Epstein of loaning her to Prince Andrew for sex on three occasions in 2001, when she was 17. Prince Andrew has consistently denied her claims but settled a civil battery lawsuit brought by Giuffre in 2022 for a reported £10 million.
