Viral Video Captures San Francisco Food Influencer's Confrontation With Couple

A confrontation between a food influencer and a couple outside a San Francisco coffee shop has gained significant attention after a video of the incident was posted online. The dispute, which occurred Tuesday afternoon outside the Wrecking Ball Coffee, was captured on video and has since gone viral.

According to food influencer Allie Tong, the altercation began when an older man nearby made verbal insults towards her assistant. Tong reported approaching the man to inquire about his comments. The man reportedly repeated his insults, prompting Tong's assistant to begin filming the couple, who Tong stated were making them uncomfortable.

The video shows the woman from the couple lunging towards the assistant, attempting to move the camera away. Shouts of "Don't touch me!" and "What's wrong with you?" were exchanged. The woman then approached the assistant, who was backing away, reiterating that she was filming because of the discomfort they felt.

"Take that recording and delete it," the woman demanded at one point in the footage. Later, the woman is seen holding the assistant's sunglasses while the couple appeared to be leaving the scene. The man reportedly made another insult as they departed. The woman then challenged, "You want this? Call the police. Let's call the police right now," before leaving with the sunglasses.

The clip has been viewed tens of thousands of times. In response to the incident, Wrecking Ball Coffee has banned the couple from their establishment. "Wrecking Ball has always been committed to providing a safe, friendly and welcoming environment for everyone and we take that responsibility very seriously," Joey Cannata, co-owner of Wrecking Ball Coffee, told the San Francisco Chronicle.

Tong later provided an update, stating that the sunglasses were eventually returned when the woman threw them on the ground. The San Francisco Police Department confirmed to the Chronicle that a police report was filed, though no arrests have been made. The identities of the couple involved have not been publicly released.
