The German soccer fan known as Freddy, who gained internet fame during the World Cup, concluded his U.S. visit with a trip to the White House on Tuesday. Special Presidential Envoy and U.S. "Tourism Minister" Nick Adams hosted Freddy, arranging a tour and a farewell lunch.

Adams stated that America embraces visitors and showcases its boldness, bounty, and generosity. Freddy's itinerary included a pickup in an American-made SUV, a tour of the U.S. Capitol Speaker's Balcony, and a visit to national monuments led by the Department of the Interior. He was also treated to a lunch featuring a tomahawk steak, beef tallow fries, onion rings, and domestic beer, described as a celebration of American ranchers and farmers.

While a meeting with former President Trump was not confirmed, Adams indicated that Freddy would receive a tour of the West Wing and an opportunity to meet with White House executives.

Freddy's U.S. trip, which extended to three weeks after Germany's World Cup elimination, had previously included travel through the Midwest. He shared his experiences, including a visit to Elmore, Ohio, describing it as "peak America." This content garnered significant attention online, with viewers expressing appreciation for his positive view of small-town America. He also received a pair of cowboy boots as a gift from country singer Ella Langley and met her backstage after a concert in Oklahoma City, an experience he described as making him feel "the most American I've ever felt."
