Vinnie Jones Reconsiders Remarriage After Finding New Love
Actor Vinnie Jones, who previously stated he would never remarry after his wife Tanya's death, now says he wouldn't rule it out, crediting his new girlfriend Emma Ford for helping him move on from grief.

Actor Vinnie Jones has shared a shift in his perspective regarding remarriage, indicating he is open to it after meeting his current girlfriend, Emma Ford. Jones, who lost his wife Tanya to cancer in 2019, had previously expressed a sentiment of never remarrying.
Tanya Jones was diagnosed with skin cancer in 2013, and it spread to her brain, leading to her death six years later. Vinnie Jones, 61, met Emma Ford, 49, in 2022 when he hired her as his personal assistant. The couple publicly debuted their relationship in 2024.
Speaking to The Sun, Jones stated that while there is "no acceptable timeline" for moving on after the loss of a spouse, he is no longer "f***ing miserable." He reflected on his initial grief, acknowledging that in such times, people often make statements like "I'm never going to get married." However, he now feels "I wouldn't say 'never' about anything now. Not at my age."
Jones described Ford as instrumental in helping him move past his grief. "Emma got me out of that [grief]," he said. "I love her, I love her energy; I think that's the attraction… I am the male version of her. She's just brilliant isn't she."
He added that he is "very happy" with Ford and that they share a lot of laughter. Importantly, he noted that Ford does not tolerate his "bull****."
Jones also spoke about the grieving process, suggesting that while there is no definitive cure for grief, "time will help," and that his journey through loss has been "massive."
The couple, who collaborated on Jones's Discovery show "Vinnie Jones In The Country," are now working on their own farm-based reality series.
Last year, Jones revealed that Ford had promised his late wife, Tanya, that she would "look after him," a conversation he found to be a "defining moment."
In an interview with The Sunday Times, Jones admitted he believed Tanya would have wanted him to be happy and find a new partner, stating, "I'm at peace because does she want you to be on your own? No, because you're not going to be happy."
This openness to a new relationship follows Jones's past struggles with alcohol. He previously shared that Tanya's disappointment was a significant motivator for him to achieve sobriety, finding her reaction to his drinking more impactful than any legal consequences. He recounted waking up after a bar brawl with "68 stitches in my head," noting that while the police and jail did not deter him, "My punishment was Tan’s disappointment. I could see it in her eyes. She’d say: 'We can’t keep doing this'."
