Viewers Demand Ban of 'Menace' Bidder Danny Wallis from The Block

Viewers of the renovation reality show "The Block" are calling for Channel Nine to ban serial bidder Danny Wallis, citing his "outlandish bids" and disruptive behavior during the series' finale auctions. Wallis, an IT entrepreneur, has become a fixture on the show for his bidding style, which often involves small increments or unusual additions to monetary offers.

During the most recent finale, complaints about Wallis's conduct flooded social media platforms. Many viewers expressed frustration, with comments such as "Danny is such a joke. Like go away," and "Danny, your silly bids aren't funny anymore." Others were more severe, with one user stating, "This ct Danny needs to be stopped from even entering the suburb that The Block is held in. Complete fkwit." A sentiment echoed by another commenter who wrote, "It's time The Block stopped inviting Danny to these auctions. This is ridiculous."

Viewers also noted Wallis's temporary departure from an auction mid-event. "Everyone laughing at Danny, so he walked out," one user observed. Another commented on his return, stating, "The Block needs to set rules for bidding and stop the stupid lunacy of Danny's bids. They're ridiculous and he walked out. He's of no value except to annoy viewers."

And while the millionaire IT entrepreneur snapped up his 15th house during Sunday's finale episode, he did not endear himself to viewers of the renovation series.

Despite the viewer backlash, Wallis successfully purchased his 15th property from "The Block" during the finale. He secured House 1, renovated by contestants Adam and Jolene, for $3.905 million against a reserve of $3.45 million, resulting in a $455,000 profit for the couple.
