Prosecutors have presented a video as evidence in federal court showing rapper Pooh Shiesty allegedly pressing the owner of Gucci Mane's 1017 Records for his release from the label during an armed robbery at a Texas music studio in January. The rapper, whose legal name is Lontrell Williams Jr., and eight others are indicted on federal kidnapping and extortion charges.

According to court documents, the victims traveled to Dallas to discuss Pooh Shiesty's recording contract when the alleged robbery occurred. Prosecutors stated that the video evidence, along with cellphone location data, victim and witness cooperation, and surveillance footage, strongly implicates the defendants.

In the video, an armed man is seen blocking a door while Pooh Shiesty allegedly pressures the record label owner, identified by initials R.D., to sign a contractual release. Prosecutors claim that Pooh Shiesty placed an AK-style pistol near the owner's head before he signed. Another defendant, Rodney Wright, known as BIG30, reportedly recorded the incident on his cellphone while the other individual blocked the door with a firearm resembling an AK-47 style rifle.

Prosecutors allege that Pooh Shiesty robbed the label owner of approximately $450,000 worth of items, including a wedding band, watch, earrings, and cash. At the time of the alleged confrontation, Pooh Shiesty was reportedly on home confinement for a prior firearms conspiracy conviction out of Florida and was wearing an electronic monitoring device.

Pooh Shiesty's legal team had filed a motion for home confinement, arguing the evidence did not warrant his detention pending trial. However, prosecutors countered that the evidence against him is "extraordinarily strong" and requested that the motion be denied. The filing also noted that the video shows the 1017 Records owner declaring Pooh Shiesty was "dropped" from his label.
