Newly surfaced video footage shows former Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell being wheeled on a stretcher into an ambulance outside his Washington, D.C., home.
The incident occurred on the morning of June 14, when emergency responders arrived to provide medical assistance. A neighbor filmed the footage from a distance, and McConnell's face is not visible. The individual on the stretcher is seen with their lower legs covered by an orange blanket, with their feet exposed.
McConnell, who represented Kentucky, was the Senate Republican leader. The exact nature of the medical emergency has not been specified, though the footage emerged following reports of an apparent cardiac arrest.
