Victoria Beckham Opens New York Store, Discusses Family and Business Success
The fashion mogul celebrated the opening of her flagship store in SoHo while sharing personal anecdotes on a recent television appearance.
Victoria Beckham has opened her new flagship store in New York City's SoHo district, marking a return to the city where she first launched her fashion collection nearly two decades ago. The entrepreneur was seen on Mercer Street, clad in an ensemble from her own brand, which included a khaki pencil maxi skirt and an open-back short-sleeve top. She accessorized with oversized sunglasses and carried an Hermes Kelly 32 crocodile leather handbag, reportedly valued at £66,000.
Beckham's outfit, consisting of items from her collection, has fueled speculation that it may preview upcoming designs. Her footwear featured heels from Karl Lagerfeld’s 2010 Chanel collection, characterized by faux pearl embellishments on a black toe cap. Similar vintage Chanel heels have been observed retailing online for prices ranging from £557 to £1,116.
The newly opened store, designed by artist Alexander May and architect Ole Lund, features a design aesthetic incorporating a burgundy color palette with marble, timber, lacquer, and velvet finishes.
This expansion comes after a successful period for the Victoria Beckham brand, which reported its first profit in September. The company achieved an operating profit of £7.3 million in the 12 months leading up to December 2025.
During a recent appearance on NBC's Today show, Beckham discussed her personal life, including enjoying wine in her vegetable garden with husband Sir David Beckham. She humorously mentioned her husband's interest in competitive gardening, noting the impressive size of his homegrown cucumbers. The interview also highlighted the newest addition to the Beckham family: a golden Labrador puppy named Sandy Jean, belonging to their son Cruz and his girlfriend Jackie Apostel. Sir David has been affectionately referred to as 'grandad' in social media posts from the puppy's account.
Beckham also spoke about her daughter, 15-year-old Harper, who demonstrates a business-minded approach, often creating PowerPoint presentations to articulate her desires, whether for a new beauty brand or a hairstyle change, a trait Beckham noted with a mix of amusement and apprehension.
