Victoria Beckham on David's Fitness and Gardening Habits
The fashion designer shared insights into her husband's workout routine and his passion for competitive gardening during a television appearance.
Victoria Beckham recently shared details about her husband David Beckham's fitness regimen and his enthusiastic approach to gardening during an appearance on the TODAY show.
When asked about her husband's physique, Beckham, 52, playfully remarked, "I have to say my husband has always had a great butt." She also revealed that she ensures he performs squats, stating, "I make sure he's doing those squats for everybody out there!"
During the interview, a clip was shown of David performing a gym exercise described as a "pushback," which Beckham explained is beneficial for gluteal muscles. "This is really good for your butt, and I'm happy to do this [work out with him] – you're welcome – to make sure that David Beckham's butt stays nice and firm," she said, adding that she was present to ensure his technique was correct.
The television segment also touched upon David Beckham's interest in "competitive gardening." A photograph displayed of the former footballer holding a large tromboncino squash from their Cotswolds garden prompted Beckham to comment, "It looks like an instrument." The conversation humorously veered into a discussion about large vegetables when host Jenna Bush Hager showed her own cucumbers, leading to a lighthearted exchange about David's "big cucumber."
Beckham expressed appreciation for the time she and David spend together, particularly in their garden. "We work so much, that we value that time together, in the vegetable patch. We might have a glass of wine," she shared. "It's so lovely that we can do that together and we really cherish and protect those moments."
In addition to discussing fitness and gardening, Beckham also participated in a tequila shot with the hosts, noting that she preferred to sip hers.
