Vick Hope, a presenter for BBC Radio 1, has announced she is taking a break from her show to spend time with her family. The announcement comes just four months after her return to the airwaves following maternity leave. Hope shared photos on Instagram of herself with her 12-month-old son, Micah, in a garden setting.
Hope, 36, stated that she is taking her final installment of leave over the coming months so her family can be together, particularly as her husband, DJ Calvin Harris, enters his summer touring season. "So while he's still so small and summer touring season is upon us, this is my last show for a little while as I take my final installment of leave over the coming months so our family can be together," she wrote on social media.
She shared images of herself in a white and blue minidress, alongside pictures of her son playing on the grass. One photo showed her hand, displaying her engagement and wedding rings. She also tagged Jessica McCormack jewellery, appearing to wear pieces from the brand.
Hope and Harris, who married in 2023, welcomed their son Micah on July 20. They announced his arrival in August through social media posts. Hope had a home water birth at their property in Ibiza.
Harris, whose real name is Adam Wiles, is a globally recognized DJ. He reportedly sold the rights to his music catalogue for approximately £76 million in 2020. He has previously expressed intentions to reduce his DJing activities, stating a preference for studio work as he approaches his 50s.
Hope indicated she is currently in Scotland with her family, where she attended a performance by her husband at Hampden Park. She had returned to her Radio 1 show in February after Micah's birth. Previously, she shared a candid photo of herself using a breast pump at work, reflecting on her return to broadcasting.
