Vice President JD Vance and his wife, Usha, have released the first official photographs of their newborn son, Alec Neel Vance, and their expanded family of six. The images were posted online Friday by the vice presidential family.
"Enjoy these attempts at taking a decent family photo with four kids!," Usha Vance wrote on social media, according to a report. "Thank you for all the good wishes as we settle into life as a family of six."
The photos were captured at the vice presidential residence at the Naval Observatory. They depict the Vance children interacting with their new sibling, including a close-up of the sleeping infant.
Alec Neel Vance was born on Sunday, July 19, 2026. This marks the first time a child has been born to a sitting vice president since 1870.
The Vances are parents to three other children: Ewan, 9; Vivek, 6; and Mirabel, 4.
