Vice President JD Vance and his wife, Usha Vance, have welcomed their fourth child, a son named Alec Neel Vance. The couple announced the birth on Sunday, stating, “We are excited to announce that our baby boy, Alec Neel Vance, was born this morning. Usha and the baby are happy and healthy, and our kids are overjoyed to meet their little brother.”
The statement also expressed gratitude to the military doctors and staff at Walter Reed Medical Center and the White House Medical Unit.
The Vances were married in 2014 and began their family in 2017 with the birth of their son, Ewan. Their second son, Vivek, was born in February 2020, followed by their daughter, Mirabel, in December 2021.
In November 2025, the couple announced they were expecting their fourth child, a boy, with a due date in late July. At the time, they shared their excitement and noted their appreciation for the medical professionals caring for their family.
Usha Vance, who met JD Vance at Yale Law School, had previously indicated a desire for more children, clarifying in March that she was increasingly open to the possibility of expanding their family, despite a prior comment where she suggested he could either become vice president or have a fourth baby.
