Vernon Kay has reportedly purchased a new home approximately 15 minutes away from his family residence as he and ex-wife Tess Daly continue to navigate their separation. The BBC Radio 2 DJ, 52, is currently still residing with Daly but is preparing to move into the new property once renovations are complete. Sources indicate that Kay is keen to remain close to Daly and their two daughters.

The new house, which is said to have cost £3 million and features a swimming pool and extensive grounds, is currently undergoing renovations. Kay is expected to move out once the work is finished. A source close to the situation stated that Daly is supportive of the move, emphasizing that both parties are handling the transition with care and respect after 23 years of marriage.

Kay and Daly announced their separation in May, stating it was a mutual decision made with care and respect for one another. Their joint statement affirmed their commitment to remaining friends and prioritizing their roles as parents. The couple share two daughters, Phoebe, 21, and Amber, 16. Friends of the couple confirmed they were living in their marital home in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire, at the time of their announcement. Their statement also clarified that no other parties were involved in the decision and requested privacy.

Kay and Daly were last seen together publicly in February, co-hosting an episode of The One Show. Recently, Tess Daly and her eldest daughter Phoebe have been collaborating on a project, as revealed by Daly on Instagram. This collaboration comes after Vernon Kay stated in an interview that he and Daly have instilled a strong work ethic in their daughters, encouraging independence rather than relying on their parents' success.

Phoebe, who is studying acting and film production in New York and pursuing a modeling career, made her red carpet debut in 2023 at the premiere of 'John Wick: Chapter 4'. Kay has previously spoken about the challenges of parenting adult children in a world with new pitfalls, such as drink spiking, and reiterated the core lesson he and Daly aim to impart: the importance of hard work.
