Kai Trump, daughter of former President Donald Trump, shared a positive update on her mother Vanessa's battle with breast cancer, reporting that she is "doing better" after undergoing surgery.

Speaking on the red carpet at the 2026 ESPY Awards in New York, the 19-year-old golfer told Page Six that her mother's health has improved. Vanessa Trump, 48, publicly disclosed her breast cancer diagnosis in May. Last month, she confirmed having undergone surgery and was preparing for the next stage of her medical treatment.

Vanessa Trump has received significant support from her boyfriend, golf legend Tiger Woods, whom she began dating in 2025. An insider revealed that Woods has been "staying focused" on supporting Vanessa throughout her recovery. "Vanessa's needs and issues have taken Tiger's thoughts outside of his own legal, medical and personal struggles, which has been good for him," a source told People Magazine. "He has given her a lot of love — even while away working on himself. It shows he has character."

A source in Florida also indicated that the couple is "optimistic about her treatments." The source added, "Like anyone diagnosed with this disease, she is anxious but also strong and eager to move beyond. She is loved and receiving a great deal of support . . . With all of the advanced treatments and excellent healthcare facilities around her, Vanessa will continue to receive top-notch care."

During her appearance at the ESPY Awards, Kai Trump also discussed the golf advice she receives from both Woods and her grandfather. She described Woods' advice as straightforward: "Be yourself, trust the process." Her grandfather, Donald Trump, offered a more seasoned perspective, telling her to "Enjoy every moment of it. It's going to be rocky, but enjoy every moment of it."

Kai Trump is set to attend the University of Miami in the fall to compete on the women's collegiate golf team. Vanessa Trump, a former model, shares Kai and four younger siblings—Donald, 17, Tristan, 14, Spencer, 13, and Chloe, 11—with her ex-husband, Donald Trump Jr.
