Vanessa Trump Announces She Is Cancer-Free

Vanessa Trump, the former wife of Donald Trump Jr., announced that she is cancer-free, six months after revealing her breast cancer diagnosis. The 48-year-old, who has five children with Donald Trump's eldest son, shared the update in a short video posted on her 19-year-old daughter Kai's Instagram account.

"My recent test results came back clear, so I'm finally cancer-free," Trump said in the video. The video teased a longer YouTube discussion about breast cancer awareness and prevention, which Kai Trump wrote would be released on Saturday.

Vanessa Trump publicly announced her diagnosis in May, stating that she had undergone surgery and was working with her medical team on a treatment plan. She was first diagnosed in April.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Kai Trump's Instagram post, which included details about her mother's journey and encouraged learning about prevention and early detection, garnered significant attention and support.

According to the American Cancer Society, the average risk for a woman in the U.S. developing breast cancer is about 1 in 8, or 13%. The disease accounts for 30% of all new female cancers diagnosed annually. Treatments for breast cancer have advanced, with options including surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and hormonal therapies.
