Broadcaster Vanessa Feltz voiced her anger on Sunday after she and her grandchildren were stranded in Sardinia due to a British Airways system failure. Feltz, 64, was on holiday with her family when they found themselves in a lengthy queue waiting to determine if they could board their flight.

Feltz shared her experience via Instagram, posting videos detailing the lack of updates from the airline. She described the situation as "hellish" and noted the system-wide outage that prevented normal operations. "They've got no plan, there's no alternative, I don't know what they're going to suggest, and we're all just waiting, waiting," she stated in one video.

Despite the frustrating circumstances, Feltz attempted to find humor in the situation, joking about the possibility of finding a romantic partner while waiting in the queue. "I've got four little grandchildren, and we're actually, we're forming great relationships, and maybe I'll find a man to marry me in the queue, I don't know, but so far, nothing!" she quipped.

In a subsequent video, she elaborated on the standstill. "Still standing in this hellish queue that just doesn't move at all because the whole British Airways system is down," she said. "No one is telling us anything, no one knows." She expressed a desire to simply get home, even if it meant abandoning her luggage.

Feltz also questioned the airline's ability to resolve the issue, noting that manual processing might be possible but required "authorisation." She expressed exasperation with the lack of clear communication and the prolonged wait.

When she returns to the UK, Feltz is scheduled to launch a new YouTube series. This comes after her daytime show on Channel 5 was axed. Reports indicated that the decision to cancel her program after a year on air had "blindsided" the presenter. Feltz had previously stated on her final episode that she would not be deterred and announced her new online show, "At Home with Vanessa," which is set to feature guests and be filmed at her home. The show is slated for release in mid-August across various social media platforms.

Colleagues, including Ruth Langsford and Charlotte Hawkins, have shown support for Feltz and her new venture.
