Vice President JD Vance said Friday that he would not be watching if a live stream of Nidal Hasan's December execution is broadcast, despite Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth's confirmation of such a plan. The White House has referred questions regarding the live stream to the Pentagon.
Hasan, a former Army major, killed 13 people and wounded 32 others in a 2009 shooting at Fort Hood, Texas. While President Donald Trump supports the execution of Hasan, it remains unclear if the president agrees with Hegseth's decision to make the execution available for public viewing. When asked about the president's stance on the public live stream, the White House directed inquiries to the Pentagon.
