Vance Calls El-Sayed 'Psychopath,' Accuses Him of 'Anti-White Hatred'

Vice President JD Vance launched a sharp attack on Democratic Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed during a visit to Michigan, labeling him a "psychopath" and accusing him of promoting "anti-white racial hatred." Vance made the remarks Tuesday at a rally in Howell, near Detroit, positioning himself to aid Republican candidate Mike Rogers in the final week before Election Day.

Vance asserted that El-Sayed was "ashamed" of Michigan and falsely claimed to be an immigrant. "Abdul El-Sayed was born just north of Detroit in a town called Rochester Hills. Yet he is claiming to be, and I quote, ‘an immigrant from North Africa,’" Vance stated. He questioned El-Sayed's motivations for making such claims, suggesting it indicated a deep dissatisfaction with the state.

The vice president also contended that El-Sayed "says that he wants to pass the green new scam and kill the auto industry of this state." Vance further criticized El-Sayed for campaigning with individuals he deemed problematic, referencing a past comment attributed to Hassan Piker about the 9/11 attacks.

Vance did not offer further details regarding his accusation that El-Sayed engages in racism. He also commented on El-Sayed's Muslim faith, declining to adopt President Trump's description of the candidate as a "jihadist," instead stating, "I don’t know what’s in the guy’s heart. I just know he has a lot of weird friends."

Polls indicate a close race between El-Sayed and Rogers, with El-Sayed holding a slight lead in recent averages. Vance's visit and remarks come as part of a broader effort to influence undecided voters in the critical swing state.
