The USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier has returned to its homeport in San Diego after an extensive mission lasting over 300 days at sea. This extended deployment marks one of the longest on record for the warship.

The carrier's return was delayed from its original schedule in May due to its involvement in supporting U.S. operations related to the conflict with Iran. The prolonged mission kept thousands of crew members away from their families for an extended period.

Families have gathered to welcome the sailors and Marines back following their long tour of duty.
