The USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier has docked in the resort city of Pattaya, Thailand, providing a period of rest for its 5,000 sailors and Marines following an extended deployment. The vessel has been at sea since November 21, reportedly amid the war in Iran. The stop in Pattaya allows the crew to unwind before the ship heads back to the United States.

The extended deployment has been challenging, with reports indicating that some sailors attempted to leave the ship during the nine-month period at sea. The USS Abraham Lincoln was pictured in April conducting blockade operations in the Arabian Sea.
